As our valued forest logs are waiting to be collected, the trust recognises the value in our experienced whānau.
We aim to develop and invest in this knowledge base in the forest industry by acknowledging their skills and developing various opportunities through internships, work placements, relationship building and educational programmes. Much to be considered and developed in this area.
Scion Placement
The trust assisted in preparing a funding application to Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) in 2016-2017 that confirmed a work placement with LTFM and Scion Research. A robust selection process was applied to support the successful candidate, Ben Aves. He has been confirmed for 18 months where he brings a strong skill base of GIS Mapping to this position.
Current Forest Employees
